Harrodsburg First oral history project, 1990-1991.

This collection focuses on the history of Harrodsburg, particularly the downtown area, during the first half of the twentieth century. Residents and businessmen and women discuss their personal and family histories and the history of their businesses, most of them on Main Street. These include an automobile dealership, banks, a jewelry business, a livery stable, a bakery, drugstores, a barbershop, an inn, a furniture store, a clothing store, and a construction business that built and rebuilt many of the buildings downtown. Narrators remember the area and its residents, their educational experiences, the social life, and World Wars I and II.
